Meet Beth Myers

Counseling Student

Beth Myers is a school counseling student with Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas.  Beth has worked with high school students for most of her seventeen years in education.  She currently serves as the AVID Coordinator in a large public school district in the North Texas area.  She is passionate about guiding adolescents as they embark on their postsecondary goals.  She has extensive background and expertise in helping students select the "best fit" college for them.

Beth has a BA in English from Texas Woman's University.  She has her Master's in Education from Lamar University and is currently working on her second Master's in School Counseling. She taught high school English, was a high school assistant principal and worked at central office in curriculum and instruction.  While she was at central office, she quickly learned her true passion and calling is on a campus with the students.  She returned to the classroom for what she thought would be a brief time while she worked her way back into campus administration.  Beth saw the mental health struggles that many of her students were facing post-Covid and decided her calling is working with students in a counseling role.

While Beth is not in the classroom, she is working in her private education and career counseling business, Guided Path Admissions.  She works with junior and senior students in "all things college."

She looks forward to meeting your child to help support a journey of wellness and personal success.
